It was a few days since the night he got beat up. The Batman was all over the news and it was the hot topic. Had he really returned? Hadn't he died? Those were the questions people were asking, but they obviously weren't going to get any answers. John arrived at her hotel just as he said he would. After parking in the underground parking lot, he took the elevator to the lobby and then another elevator to her floor. He was still pretty bruised up along with his cracked rib but his face was getting better.

When he got to her floor and walked down the hall, he knocked on her door.

"You can't expect him to stop one mugging," he pointed out.

"It was a joke," she said, giving his cheek an affectionate pinch.

"Oh." He laughed a little.

[chesstotem]

She leaned over and kissed his cheek. "Assuming it even is one guy. Maybe there's more than one."

[gcpd]

"Probably," he said, draping his arm around her shoulders.

[chesstotem]

"Oh, is that your pet theory? Do elaborate," she said with a smile.

[gcpd]

He laughed. "I don't know. Maybe it's more than one, maybe it's just one guy."

[chesstotem]

She laughed a little. "You're a Gotham native, surely you've got a crazy theory."

[gcpd]

"You're so sure, huh? How about you?"

[chesstotem]

She shrugged. "I don't know. I'm liking the 'multiple people' theory."

[gcpd]

"So there isn't just one man? There's others?"

[chesstotem]

"Sure, why not? It might explain why one of them got blown up, but now they're back. Or it's a different person under the cowl."

[gcpd]

"Hmm..." She was closer to the truth than most. He didn't know whether to be proud at her deduction or scared that she wasn't far off.

She laughed at his expression and leaned over to kiss him.

He kissed her back.

[chesstotem]

It was a good kiss, so she deepened it, her hands tangling in his hair.

He opened his mouth to her immediately.

She kissed him until she was nearly breathless, then smiled. "Maybe we should skip the TV and take this to the bedroom?"

He laughed. "Sure. You gotta be gentle though."

[chesstotem]

"Whatever you want," she murmured, tugging him up with her. "Even if all we do is lie on the bed and kiss."

[gcpd]

John grabbed the remote and turned off the tv before following her to the bedroom.

"You'll have to let me know, what you want," she murmured, closing the bedroom door behind them.

[gcpd]

"What do you want?" He asked her.

[chesstotem]

"You, naked," she said immediately.

[gcpd]

He grinned and took off his tshirt.
